Synopsis

From 2001 Synopsis :
“Oh! But he was a tight-fisted hand at the grind-stone, Scrooge! a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous, old sinner! Hard and sharp as flint, secret, and self-contained, and solitary as an oyster. The cold within him froze his old features, nipped his pointed nose, shriveled his cheek, stiffened his gait; made his eyes red, his thin lips blue and spoke out shrewdly in his grating voice. He carried his own low temperature always about with him and didn't thaw it one degree at Christmas.”

Dickens’s powerful language, humor and warmth will tell the story of Scrooge, a lonely miser, who, through the help of spirits and visions from his past, present and future, finds a second chance to become a loving, generous human being. The play is scheduled for December 5-8 and 12-15 and the theatre has already received numerous requests to purchase tickets.

Tickets for “The Christmas Carol” are $10 for adults and $5 for young people through the 12th grade. “The Christmas Carol” is not included in the 2002 Season Ticket Membership Program. As Mark Britton has said, “We expect to be sold out for all performances!” so plan to get your tickets soon."
