In Memory of Elva Hansen
November, 2002
Elva Maxine Hansen, 78, of Hot Springs died Sunday, October 13, 2002 in Houston, Texas.

On November 17, 2002, the Production Committee elected to dedicate the 2003 Season, "A Season of Laughter", to the memory of this remarkable woman.

"The Queen of the Pocket Theatre"

We called her "The Queen of the Pocket Theatre" with great affection. She was with the Pocket Theatre from the very beginning. She was in countless plays ... directed some ... sat on our Board of Directors ... handled our funds as treasurer ... served as our Season Ticket Chairperson ... not to mention the times she operated the box office ... worked on costumes and props ... cleaned the house (theatre) ... Play Selection Committee ... always a good word for all ... and on and on ...

She was a beloved favorite of our audiences.

Elva wanted everyone at her service to receive a card with the following message:

The Light Prayer
The Light of God Surrounds Me
The Love of God Enfoldss Me
The Peace of God Protects Me
And the Presence of God Watches Over Me
Wherever I am, God is, and all is well.

Elva Hansen was a true Lady ... a delight to be around ... onstage ... backstage ... office ... neighbor ... friend. Elva, our paths will cross again on the great stage above!
