A Christmas Carol
by Charles Dickens
adapted by Janet Fisher Collum & Robert L. Simpson
Directed by Janet Fisher Collum
December 2002
Synopsis

Oh! But he was a tight-fisted hand at the grind-stone, Scrooge! a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous, old sinner! Hard and sharp as flint, secret, and self-contained, and solitary as an oyster. The cold within him froze his old features, nipped his pointed nose, shriveled his cheek, stiffened his gait; made his eyes red, his thin lips blue and spoke out shrewdly in his grating voice. He carried his own low temperature always about with him and didn't thaw it one degree at Christmas.

Dickensís powerful language, humor and warmth will tell the story of Scrooge, a lonely miser, who, through the help of spirits and visions from his past, present and future, finds a second chance to become a loving, generous human being.

Merry Christmas, One and All!
